Our internship program in Rwanda is designed to provide practical experience and professional development for students in Culinary Arts, Nutrition, Tourism, and Hospitality. The program is structured in three stages: initial training in basic skills, intermediate entrepreneurship and career coaching, and final internship placement with opportunities for community engagement. Our mission is to support ambitious youth in gaining educational qualifications, finding employment, or starting their own businesses, while inspiring them to contribute to their communities.
We are looking for passionate and capable students who are eager to make a difference. Interns will participate in various activities, including:
- Attending family visits and counseling sessions
- Conducting resilience-building workshops
- Assisting with documentation, data collection, and research
- Managing and upgrading social media channels
- Designing and implementing tourism activities
- Attending team meetings for evaluations and impact analysis
- Assisting with workshops and community activities in culinary arts, English, communication, career guidance, and entrepreneurship
Specific activities for Hospitality & Tourism students include research and practical internships at partner hotels in Kigali and supporting the implementation of tourism packages for sustainability.
Interns will receive supervision from staff with related bachelor’s degrees. Office space with internet, a training room for workshops, and a community space for outreach activities are available. We offer daily support with research writing and reviews, data collection, language interpretation, and local neighborhood guidance. Interns are supported with all living arrangements for their stay in Rwanda.
